The team assisted with staffing the festive event at Clark Botanical Gardens and had a great time in doing so. The players got into the spirit of things, dressing up and interacting with all of the kids visiting the Spooky Walk.

  • Knights Volunteer To Help Build Local Playground

    On Friday, Sept. 23, members of the Queens College men's and women's basketball and softball teams helped with the building of a new playground for more than 2,000 kids at the Bay Terrace Center. The Knights were introduced to the project by Jessica Sanchez, women’s basketball alum (Class of 2008), the Assistant Athletic Director at the Samuel Field Y.

They spoke to 15 guidance counselors, coaches and other faculty members at the Professional Development Day.

    The Queens College women’s basketball team took time out of their schedule on Thursday to participate in the Basketball Buddies Program at the Samuel Field Y in Queens. In what has become an annual event, the team was pair with special needs children and young adults aged 5-21 to act as friends and mentors. This was the second straight year the team has participated in the event.

    The Queens College women’s basketball team took a break from hoops to donate some time to the Ronald McDonald House in New Hyde Park, New York on Tuesday. For the second straight year, in what is becoming an annual event, members of the team headed out to Nassau County to give back to the local community.
