Chris Bonawandt Named Men's Soccer Assistant Coach
Queens College head men’s soccer coach, Carl Christian recently announced the addition of Chris Bonawandt to his staff as assistant coach. Bonawandt will have a tremendous amount of responsibility within the program, including training and match preparation, recruiting database maintenance and advance scouting, among other duties.

Buckmire honored on Daktronics All-East Region Team

Queens College’s Brian Buckmire a senior from Toronto Canada and an alumni of Michael Power High School was named to the Daktronics All-East Region Team.

Knights suffer 3-1 loss at AIC
The Knights traveled to American International College on Wednesday October 27th to finish out the non-conference end of their 2010 regular season schedule. The road trip was all for naught as AIC beat the Knights 3-1. With the loss the Knights fall to 5-11 overall and AIC improves to 7-9-1.

The Knights of Queens College defeated the visiting Bears of NYIT by the score of 1-0. With the win the Knights improves to 5-10-1 overall and 3-2-1 in the ECC, while the Bears fall to 7-7-1 and 2-3 in the ECC.

Sophomore striker Danny Stoker has been named East Coast Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week for play during the week of September 27th through October 3rd. Stoker had four goals and an assist in a 1-1 week for the Knights.

Buckmire one of three recipients of prestigious ECC award
Brian Buckmire of the Men's Soccer team was one of three recipients of the East Coast Conference Excellence in Community and Character Award at the ECC Awards Dinner on June 9th. Simona Bartkova of Dowling and Chris Munoz of STAC shared the award with Buckmire.

Daniel Stoker was named the 2009 East Coast Conference Men's Soccer Rookie of the Year in a poll of the league's head coaches. Teammates Frank Alesci and Brian Buckmire were also named first team all-conference.
