Peter was a member of the Stony Brook University men's soccer team that won the America East Conference title and lost to Brown University in double overtime of an NCAA Regional first round contest. In 14 games played in 2009 he was credited with two shots on goal and six shots total.
Before Stony Brook, Peter was the top goal scorer and assist man at Long Island City High School. For his efforts, he was named all-City and all-Queens and was chosen to play in the Exceptional Seniors game at Giants Stadium along with 39 of the top players from New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
One of three family members to play soccer, Peter is joined on the 2010 Knights soccer roster by his brother Demetrios, who is a goalkeeper.
