Track Teams compete in the Wesleyan Invitational

The Queens College Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field teams traveled up to Middletown, Connecticut to compete in the Wesleyan Invitational. The meet, which featured seven men's teams and eight women's teams, was held on January 15th and 16th.

On the men's side, the Knights had one first place, one second place and two third place finishes. Max Gazzara won the 5000 meter run for QC in 16:33.44 and Tinashe Makotsi finished second in the pole vault. The two third place finishes were from Terrance Forde (55 meter hurdles - 8.88 seconds) and Andres Cabrera (600 meter run - 1:29.10).  Lev Starikov also finished fifth for the Knights in the 800 meter run in a time of 2:10.59.

For the women's team, Indira Avila produced a second place finish in the 800 meter run (19:55.99) while Daniela Fuschetto and Emily Monaco placed third and sixth in the shot put.
