Queens College lacrosse alum Kahli Evans '14 is preparing for an upcoming tour of the United States with the Australian National Team this coming October.
The squad has upcoming training camps in December 2016 in Adelaide, and in January and March 2017 in Melbourne. The players will be travelling to the USA from October 3-10 to compete at the Spring Challenge in Baltimore, with matches against the United States, Canada, and top Division 1 college programs scheduled.
The Australian women's team will compete at the 2017 FIL World Cup, to be held in Guildford England, Thursday 13 – Saturday 22 July 2017. Following the World Cup, the team will travel to Wroclaw, Poland to compete at the 2017 International World Games IWGA, Tuesday 25 - Saturday 29 July 2017. The Australian Women's Lacrosse Team has a proud history of having medaled at every IFWLA/FIL World Cup (nine events, two gold medals, four silver, three bronze).
Evans was a two time All-Conference honorees for the Knights, appearing in 61 games for the Knights over four seasons. She holds the program records for saves in a season (160, 2011) and save percentage (52.5%, 2012). She finished in the top five nationally in save percentage twice during her career, and in the top 10 three times in saves per game.
