Kadrich, Ribeiro Register First-Place Efforts at St. Francis (N.Y.)
BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Freshman Emina Kadrich (Astoria, N.Y.) and junior Sissi Palma Ribeiro (Sao Lourenco, Brazil) each registered first-place swims Monday night, as the Queens College women's swimming and diving program wrapped up the dual-meet portion of its 2011-12 campaign at St. Francis College.
SFC won the dual meet by an 118-82 count.
Kadrich won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:06.79.
Meanwhile, Ribeiro took home first-place honors in the 400-yard individual medley (5:08.1) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:03.86).
Head coach Alicia Lampasso-Dillon's Knights will now prepare for their championship season, as the team will travel to Piscataway, N.J., for the Feb. 17-19, Metropolitan Swim Conference Championships.
