Women's Swimming And Diving Narrowly Edged By Hunter

FLUSHING, N.Y. - The Queens College women's swimming and diving team dropped a close 120-117 decision to Hunter College Monday evening at FitzGerald Gymnasium.

Sophomore Elizabeth Hodges picked up two wins for the Knights, with first place finishes in the 100 free (56.98) and 50 free (25.37).  Sophomore Jennifer Arana-Perez placed first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:07.81.  Arana-Perez later placed second in the 200 free with a time of 2:06.73.

Junior Katie Waszkiewicz took first in the 200 IM (2:24.92).  She also took second in the 100 fly with a time of 1:02.38, and in the 100 breast (1:16.87).

In diving, junior Kailey White picked up wins in both rounds, scoring 137.41 points in round one and 194.56 points in round two.

The Knights next compete at the Ranger Invitational from Dec. 2-3 in Madison, N.J.
