As a freshman in 2009-2010, Daniela went 19-2 in singles competition and 14-3 in doubles play. This includes third doubles wins in both the NCAA Regional semifinals and finals and a 6-0, 6-1 win over Jennifer Zastrow of Southern New Hampshire that clinched the regional championship and a trip to the Sweet Sixteen for QC.

Daniela has been playing competitive USTA Tennis since the age of 10. In high school she played #2 singles for three years before moving to the top spot as a senior. Daniela also played #! doubles all four years. Her team at Lake Howell High School won conference, division and regional titles three years in a row and she was named first team all-conference for two consecutive seasons. Daniela also ran cross country for three years and track for two years.

At Lake Howell High School Daniela was a member of the National Honors Society, Business professionals of America, Lake Howell Theatre Company and Thespian Troupe 4937 and also worked on the yearbook staff.
