Cross Country teams compete at the Hofstra Invitational

The Queens College men's and women's cross country teams travelled to Bethpage State Park on Saturday to start their 2009 seasons in the Hofstra Invitational.

Indira Avila led the women's team by finishing 11th amoung all Division II, III and junior college participants - and 23rd overall - by posting a time of 21:03.27 in the five kilometer run. Lev Starikov was the men's top finisher (18:19.99), ranking 54th overall and 40th against Division II, III and junior college contestants.
